To show FPS in Warzone on PC, open Settings > Interface, find Telemetry, select Show More, and turn on FPS Counter. Your live frame rate appears in the top-left corner. This is the quickest option because it works inside Warzone without another app running over the game.
Updated September 5, 2026: We rechecked the current Telemetry path, removed the old BO6 label, updated the NVIDIA instructions for the NVIDIA App, and clarified what console players can and cannot see.
On PC, open Settings > Interface > Telemetry > Show More and turn on FPS Counter. It appears in the top-left corner. Steam, NVIDIA, and AMD overlays are useful alternatives when you need more hardware data.
Quick answer
How to turn on the Warzone FPS counter
- Launch Warzone and open the main menu.
- Select the gear icon to open Settings.
- Open the Interface tab.
- Scroll to Telemetry and select Show More.
- Turn FPS Counter on.
- Close the menu and look in the top-left corner.

The same Telemetry area can show server latency, packet loss, GPU temperature, VRAM use, CPU time, and GPU time. Leave those hidden unless you are diagnosing a problem. A wall of numbers is more distracting than useful during a match.
Which FPS counter should you use?
| Method | What it shows | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Warzone Telemetry | FPS plus optional network and hardware stats | The simplest counter for most PC players |
| Steam | A small FPS number | Players who launch Warzone through Steam |
| NVIDIA App | FPS, 1% low FPS, latency, utilization, clocks, and temperatures | Deeper checks on an NVIDIA graphics card |
| AMD Software | FPS, frame time, utilization, clocks, power, and temperatures | Deeper checks on an AMD graphics card |
Start with Warzone’s own counter. Use a graphics-driver overlay when you need to know why frame rate is dropping, not just the number it dropped to. If performance is poor, work through our Warzone graphics settings guide.
How to show Warzone FPS through Steam
- Open Steam and select Steam > Settings.
- Choose In Game.
- Find In-game FPS counter and pick a screen corner.
- Make sure the Steam Overlay is enabled, then launch Warzone through Steam.
This counter stays small and only shows frame rate. It is a good fallback if Warzone’s Telemetry counter will not appear, but it will not help you separate a GPU limit from a network problem.
How to use the NVIDIA App statistics overlay
GeForce Experience has been replaced by the NVIDIA App. Open the NVIDIA overlay with Alt + Z, select Statistics, and choose the performance metrics and screen position you want. Alt + R toggles the statistics overlay while you play.
NVIDIA’s current overlay can show frame rate, 1% low FPS, game latency, GPU and CPU utilization, clock speeds, temperatures, and power. The 1% low reading is especially useful when average FPS looks fine but the game still stutters.
How to use the AMD metrics overlay
Open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, choose Performance, then enable Show Metrics Overlay. AMD lists Ctrl + Shift + O as the default shortcut. Its performance monitoring guide also covers the overlay’s position, size, columns, transparency, and metric choices.
AMD’s overlay can show frame rate and frame time alongside GPU, CPU, memory, temperature, and power readings. Use frame time to spot uneven delivery that an average FPS number can hide.
Warzone FPS counter not showing?
- Return to Interface > Telemetry > Show More and confirm FPS Counter is on.
- Look in the top-left corner after closing the settings menu.
- If Steam’s counter is missing, confirm the Steam Overlay is enabled and launch Warzone from Steam.
- If an NVIDIA or AMD overlay is missing, turn its in-game overlay on before reopening Warzone.
- Use one counter at a time. Stacked overlays can cover each other and make troubleshooting harder.
- Restart Warzone after changing an external overlay. Hooking into a game that is already running does not always work.
Can you show FPS in Warzone on PS5 or Xbox?
Warzone does not expose the PC-style FPS Counter telemetry option on PS5 or Xbox. Console versions target fixed performance modes instead of giving players a live in-game frame-rate readout. On supported hardware, enable the console’s 120 Hz output and Warzone’s 120 Hz mode, then check your TV or monitor’s signal-information panel if it has a refresh-rate display.
A display’s refresh-rate reading is not always the same as the game’s rendered FPS. It can confirm a 120 Hz signal, but it is not a reliable frame-by-frame performance counter. Avoid third-party “FPS counter” apps that claim to measure a console game without capture hardware.
