A week and a half before the release date of October 10, suffice it to say, the Battlefield 6 Release is quite literally just around the corner!
After a year full of teasers, leaks, as well as the unexpected open beta, the full release is about to go online. But that begs the question, are they going to unlock early access for select players willing to pay a premium? The answer to that question would be, no. An answer that’s for sure to upset the more extravagant spenders among the fanbase.
Battlefield 6 Release Date Pricing
The base game will cost you $69.99, with the premium Phantom Edition costing you $99.99. Pre-ordering either versions will not let you have early access to the game.
There won’t be any significant changes if you do pay the $30 premium also, aside from exclusive cosmetics. Included in the pack are:
- 4 Soldier Skins
- BF Pro Token & Battle Pass
- A Shrouded Weapon Package
- A Drop Shadow Weapon Package
- Chimera Vehicle Skin
- Tombstone Pack Pre-Order Bonus
- And More (possibly Trinkets for weapons)
Basically, skins galore, which in our opinion isn’t really a wise investment, unless you have cash to burn. The ‘Shrouded’ and ‘Drop Shadow’ weapon packages also hint at, possibly, skin lines, which each or select weapons having a variation of that skinline.
Of course, this also applies to the Chimera Vehicle Skin shown on the graphic below. The very fact that there’s a “Vehicle Skin” also alludes to the fact that although this game has so far been a breath of fresh air for the modern gamer, it still is very much a modern game. A modern game by EA, no less. Cosmetics will be advertised all throughout the Main Menu, and discounts and sales will be shoved at your face.
But hey, at least it runs well and is fun so far, right?
