From an abysmal 0.4% pick rate at the start of the year, to a solid 10.9% pick rate after the last patch, seeing a total of 1143.38% increase in pick rate as of the time of writing, a solid 3% difference behind the top pick Ash 13.3% pick rate.
This sudden increase in play rate might come out of nowhere, but it’s actually the result of the mid-season buff he received, having his kit changed drastically to make up for the more mobile top picked legends which we covered in a previous article.
Apex Legends Seer Buff
Level 3 Upgrade ‘Long View’ is now part of his Passive ability, alongside Level 2 Upgrade Artist’s Reach. The existing Level 2 Upgrades are replaced.
His tactical ability is also buffed significantly, giving you a moderate speed boost (if hit) on top of the wallhacks.
Additional changes during the patch also included legends such as Sparrow, Caustic, and Ash, who got balances in their kits.
Overall, Seer became so much more fun to play which explains the dramatic hop from last to second in terms of pick rate.
