What 56 eDPI means
Fortnite eDPI is mouse DPI multiplied by the in-game percentage as a decimal. Typical Gamer’s 800 DPI at 7.0% equals 56 eDPI. That is slightly slower than the 64 eDPI starting point in our Fortnite sensitivity guide, but it still sits inside the current 48 to 80 eDPI test range.
If you use 1600 DPI, set X and Y to 3.5% to match the same 56 eDPI. Keep targeting and scope at 40% for the closest copy. Do not change every value after one bad match; test the hip-fire sensitivity first, then adjust ADS.
Typical Gamer’s Fortnite keybinds
| Keyboard | SteelSeries Apex Pro |
|---|---|
| Crouch | L-Ctrl |

The binds keep wall, stairs, and edit close to the movement keys while moving floor to a mouse side button. Copy them only if your mouse has a comfortable side button. Otherwise, use the layout as a starting point and keep the binds you can hit without taking fingers off movement.

How to copy the settings without losing your own setup
- Save a screenshot of your current Mouse and Keyboard and Video tabs.
- Set the mouse to 800 DPI, then enter 7.0% for both X and Y. If you use 1600 DPI, use 3.5% instead.
- Copy the movement, combat, and building binds. Leave any unlisted option at your current value.
- Test in Creative before a real match. Lower X/Y in 0.5-point steps if tracking feels loose; raise it if you run out of mousepad during turns and edits.
Does Typical Gamer play on controller?
No. His tracked Fortnite setup uses keyboard and mouse. The 800 DPI, 7.0% X/Y, and 56 eDPI values do not convert directly to controller sensitivity. Use the separate Fortnite controller settings guide for a pad baseline.
Source and update note
We rechecked these settings on October 3, 2026 against the current Typical Gamer record on ProSettings, last updated March 11, 2026. That record does not list build/edit sensitivity, V-Sync, motion blur, NVIDIA Reflex, turbo building, or confirm edit on release, so those values remain marked as not listed instead of being guessed.
