The Bullfrog saw an indirect buff in Season 3 when Warzone developers increased max player health from 250 to 300. Weapons that could deal high damage per magazine became more desirable in the new meta.
Enter the Bullfrog, a balanced SMG with excellent magazine capacity and solid damage range. Low recoil allows the Cold War SMG to engage enemies at close and medium distances, making the Bullfrog gun a great all-around weapon that can be useful across many scenarios.
The GRU suppressor gives a significant increase to vertical recoil control to help land shots at medium distances and closer. While the GRU suppressor also decreases the effective damage range some, the benefits of increased recoil reduction are well worth the tradeoff, especially when paired with the right barrel.
The 7.4” task force barrel gives a massive buff to the overall effective damage range and bullet velocity. This helps the best Bullfrog loadout compete against assault rifles in medium-range engagements within Warzone.
You can’t go wrong with the increased movement speed of the tiger team spotlight laser. Stack the strengths of SMGs and look for opportunities to improve mobility whenever possible.
The KGB skeletal stock improves your sprint-to-fire time while decreasing hip fire accuracy. The Bullfrog is already a poor hip-fire weapon so we opted for decreased ADS time instead. There are many far better choices in the SMG category for hip-fire builds.
We continue our theme of prioritizing mobility with the bruiser grip. This underbarrel attachment grants increased movement speed and hip fire accuracy without drawbacks.
Notice that we didn’t choose a magazine for one of our attachments. The Bullfrog’s base 50-round magazine allows you to spend that attachment elsewhere. Lose the bruiser grip and upgrade to the 65-round magazine if you play trios or quads and need to take on more enemies at once.
The best Bullfrog class has a slower time to kill at close-range than some SMGs due to a slow fire rate. Many of the best Warzone players prefer fast-fire rate weapons to win close-range 1v1 gunfights.
The ADS time and movement speed of the Bullfrog are also slower than some of the best Warzone SMGs. Luckily, there are many attachments you can equip to improve the Bullfrog’s mobility.
Is the Bullfrog loadout the best SMG in Warzone?
No, you likely won’t see the Bullfrog in the top tier of meta SMG lists for Warzone. That doesn’t mean that the Bullfrog can’t be a menace in the right hands with the right strategy.
We recommend a “hit and run” playstyle for the Bullfrog SMG. Fire and reposition from different angles before your opponent can regroup.
Push your advantages and look for opportunities to catch your enemies unprepared. Get up close and personal with AR players and try to maintain your distance from SMG users. Managing engagement distance is key to success with the Bullfrog.

Best weapon to pair with the Bullfrog gun
The 3-Line Sniper Rifle is an excellent secondary weapon to pair with the best Bullfrog loadout. An overkill class with the Bullfrog gun and the 3-Line Rifle is effective at close, medium, and long ranges.
Pressure the enemies’ plates at a distance with the 3-Line and switch to the Bullfrog to close the gap. The Bullfrog’s mobility will allow you to advance on your opponent before they have time to plate back up.

The Bullfrog is unlocked at player level 43 or by purchasing a Bullfrog blueprint in the store.
